Does the Creative Cloud Plan Include Adobe Stock?

I remember the first time I subscribed to Creative Cloud, I was so excited to get Photoshop and Lightroom, but then I saw all these beautiful photos in Adobe Stock and thought, wait, do I get those too now? Turns out, the answer is both yes and no. It depends on which plan you pick. Let me break it down the way I wish someone had explained it to me years ago.

When you pay for Creative Cloud, you get the apps. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, the whole family. That part is simple.

But Adobe Stock? That’s separate, kind of. Every Creative Cloud plan gives you some Adobe Stock assets for free each month, but the number changes a lot depending on how much you pay.

Here’s what I’ve had over the years:

Plan I HadFree Adobe Stock Assets Per MonthWhat Type
Photography Plan (20 GB)10 standard assetsPhotos, vectors, videos
Photography Plan (1 TB)10 standard assetsSame
Single App Plan10 standard assetsSame
All Apps Plan (normal)10 standard assetsSame
All Apps + Stock Plan40 standard assetsSame
All Apps + Stock (Large)1000 standard assets or 120 HD videosWow level

The regular All Apps plan most people buy? Only 10 free Stock assets. I learned that the hard way when I burned through them in two days on a client project.

So, Is 10 Free Assets Enough?

5 Reasons to Buy the Adobe Creative Cloud

Honestly? For most people I know, no.

Let me paint you a picture. You’re designing a presentation, you need five lifestyle photos, three icons, two short video clips for the intro. Boom, 10 credits gone in one afternoon. Then you either pay $8–$10 per extra image or you start hunting free sites again.

I did that for months. Felt stupid paying $52.99 for Creative Cloud and still spending another $79 on Stock images.

The Plan Almost Nobody Talks About

Then I discovered the Creative Cloud All Apps + Stock plan. It’s a little more expensive, but you jump from 10 assets to 40, or there’s even a version with 1000 assets a month.

I switched last year. Best decision ever.

Suddenly I stopped stressing about credits. I grab mockup photos, textures, 4K video backgrounds, whatever I need, and I still have credits left at the end of the month. My clients are happier because the visuals look more premium, and I’m not nickel-and-diming myself anymore.

How Much More Does the Stock Plan Cost?

It depends on your region, but where I am it’s usually $20–$30 extra per month compared to the normal All Apps plan. For me, that $30 saves me $150–$200 in extra purchases every month. The math was ridiculous once I actually sat down and calculated it.

What Counts as One “Asset”?

Grfico y de diseo Adobe Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan

This tripped me up early on.

  • 1 photo = 1 credit
  • 1 vector or illustration = 1 credit
  • 1 standard video (up to HD) = 3 credits
  • 1 Premium image = 7 credits
  • 1 4K or extended license video = way more

So those 10 free assets disappear fast if you touch video.

My Honest Recommendation After 8 Years on Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan 1TB Photoshop Lightroom 12

If you only need Photoshop and Lightroom for your own photos, the Photography plan + 10 Stock assets is fine. You probably won’t use them all.

If you design social media graphics, presentations, YouTube thumbnails, client work, anything like that, get the All Apps + Stock plan with at least 40 assets. You’ll thank yourself.

I wasted two years on the cheap plan thinking I was saving money. In reality I spent more on individual images than the upgrade would have cost.

Can You Just Buy Stock Without Creative Cloud?

Yes, but it’s stupid expensive. Without a subscription, one photo can cost $10–$13. With the 10 free assets from any Creative Cloud plan, you’re already saving $80–$100 a month minimum.

Final Thought

Does Creative Cloud include Adobe Stock? Yes, a little taste. Ten assets.

Is that enough for serious work? For most of us, no.

I finally stopped being cheap and upgraded. My workflow is smoother, my designs look better, and I’m not angry at Adobe every time I need one more photo.

If you’re on the fence, check your Stock usage in your Adobe account. Look at the last three months. Multiply extra downloads by $10. If that number hurts, upgrade. You’ll make the money back in the first project.

That’s been my experience anyway. Hope it helps you decide.
